TRUE CHARITHON 2014 - IN SUPPORT OF BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION
06 December 2014 - 07 December 2014
To mark the 10th anniversary of the True Group and in the spirit of giving, a True Charithon 2014 event was organised as a means for the True Group to give back to the community. On 6 - 7 Dec 2014, the centre was abuzz with the fourth quarter launch of the Les Mills group exercise classes which consists of BODYCOMBAT®, BODYPUMP® and SH’BAM®. On-site booths by Reebok, ZIIIRO watches and Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) allowed participants to sample the latest range of sports apparel and watches or walk away with a BCF memorabilia.
True Charithon was conceptualised with the objective of getting True Fitness, members and their friends to come together to provide support and hope for Breast Cancer survivors. There’s no better motivation than working out alongside your loved ones and other like-minded people for a good cause. It’s rewarding to see so many happy faces in the gym!
The event reaped over 600 class attendances and raised over $6,500 in donations for the Breast Cancer Foundation.
In return for their support, each participant walked away with a goodie bag from True Fitness, comprising of items and vouchers such as Reebok, ZIIIRO Watches, L’oreal Paris Hair Expertise, Laura Mercier, Soup Spoon, Tiger Balm Active and many more.
True Group is truly appreciative and would like to thank all sponsors and members for their support.
About Breast Cancer Foundation :
Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) is a non-profit organisation set up in 1997 with the mission of eradicating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. To achieve this, it propagates awareness and education through talks, seminars, exhibitions and publications, and advocates early detection through regular screening.
Support and volunteer programmes are organised for survivors and their families through counselling and healing through art activities – all with the aim of helping survivors regain their active life after breast cancer.
BCF is one of the few breast cancer advocacy groups in the world with a Men's Support League to emphasise men's roles in society's fight against this affliction. To find out how you can make a contribution, visit http://www.bcf.org.sg/donating-and-fundraising-activities/how-to-donate
